VINTAGE NOTES 2014 went very smoothly for Paso Robles. Although yields were slightly down due to California’s second consecutive year in drought, the grapes displayed a beautifully concentrated intensity. There were no major fluctuations this growing season. Without heat spikes or cool stretches, Paso Robles vintners were able to produce wines that displayed richness, balance, and fully mature tannins. The 2014 harvest will be a classic for years to come. WINEMAKER’S NOTES Inky ruby. Black and blue fruits, licorice and a hint of smoky oak on the perfumed nose. Supple and broad on the palate, offering lush cassis and blueberry flavors that take a spicy turn with air. Slow-mounting tannins frame the persistent finish, which leaves a hint of candied flowers behind. – Josh Raynolds 150 cases produced. Awards: 90 points Vinous

TASTING NOTES Mellow aromas of purple flowers, boysenberry, dark earth and a slightly tangy black-plum-skin touch show on the nose of this bottling. Mouthcoating tannins frame the ripe blackberry-jam and cassis flavors, which are cut by sharp acidity. - MATT KETTMANN, of Wine Enthusiast VINEYARD NOTES The 2017 vintage saw our drought end with a bang. The wet soils delayed budbreak to a normal time frame and produced such a healthy vineyard that we saw canopy sizes and cane lengths we hadn’t seen in years. The summer began relatively cool but was punctuated by two heat spikes that accelerated ripening and produced intense flavors. The resulting vintage shows the health of the vines with a combination of concentration and freshness, with bright acids framing powerful fruit.

TASTING NOTES The color is deep and dark reddish purple, almost Midnight black. Aromas of toasted vanilla bean, dried herbs, and ripe black fruit lead to very ripe plum and black cherry on the palate. Earth, spicy vanilla, and roasted cashew round out this full-bodied wine. The finish is well structured with balanced fruit and acidity. Drink now through 2028.
VINEYARD NOTES The 2016 vintage started off with respectable weather through bloom and set. Our first bit of 100-degree weather came during the sizing phase which affected berry growth on many of our varietals. In September, the ripening was lengthened with the hot and cool temperature swings. Overall, winemakers are optimistic about the yields with no significant factors like freezes or prolonged heat spikes affecting the crop.

TASTING NOTES This 100% Zinfandel is all about balance between red fruit flavors and bright acidity. A mingle of red fruits – cranberry, raspberry and bitter cherry liquor are forthcoming. The acidity tingles your cheeks. The finish clings to your palate with sweet bramble berries, raisins, anise and plush tannin.

Size 750 mL x 12

Descriptors:
The Full Moon Red was first bottled in 1998 under the label Full Moon Zinfandel. It has evolved into a Zinfandel and Syrah blend designed to be light, fun, fruity, and fan friendly. It is Midnight’s “pool, porch, patio, picnic, party fun wine.” It’s the perfect pairing for any backyard BBQ, pizza, or cheeseburger!
The Full Moon Red is a very informal wine, just “shut up and drink it.”
TASTING NOTES The color is a beautiful purple with brick red accents on the rim. The nose brings fresh raspberry, strawberry, and cherries with a hint of earthiness. Medium weight hits the palate with the blended fruit flavors continuing with a nice acidic structure. Very easy to drink, and intended to be consumed in its youth.
VINEYARD NOTES 2019 was one of the rare vintages where the weather cooperated and we were able to harvest all of the fruit when we wanted to instead of being pressured by impending adverse weather. Tremendous wine quality across all of the wines with very few problematic fermentations. Chemistry (pH, TA, sugars) were consistently in the proper ranges and the resulting wines are very ageable with excellent tannin structure. Varietal Composition 45% Zinfandel, 45% Syrah, 10% Merlot

This 100% Merlot is, as always, very dark in color and richly provoking with its nose of smoky, earthy, plum, and leather.
The mouthfeel is full with structured tannin from the black fruit, ripe plum, earth, and mineral flavor profiles. Dense and dusty tannins carry into the impossibly long finish with a chalkiness that features the true influence of Midnight’s estate calcareous soil.

Dornfelder, the ideal summer red wine In the beautiful hilly Moselle area, we found this classic and robust Dornfelder, the epitome of a typical German wine with a modern twist.
Josef Drathen created again a beautiful masterpiece of flavours. It follows the latest trends, it doesn’t contain too much alcohol and is delicious to drink slightly chilled. In our opinion, the ideal summer red wine to enjoy during a barbecue or with friends on the terrace.
